Tom from http://harleygoodies.com/ here. I would recommend a Mustang seat over a corbin, just personal choice. If you have back issues, maybe the drivers back rest too.

Seat comfort is a very subjective thing so hard for anyone else to suggest what will be comfortable for YOU vs themself.
Some find Corbin seats to be torture contraptions (they're VERY firm) and others - including myself - find them an excellent seat and can log 15 hour days on one.
You'll have to try it is all I can suggest. Mustang is softer and more traditional in it's cushioning. Corbin is very firm - almost hard - but the way they're designed with that firm "memory" foam it breaks in and shapes itself to YOUR butt and in this way distributes your weight over a wide area and eliminates "hot spots" that give you numbness/discomfort. Some of the soft/squishy cushion-type seats eventually flatten down to the seat pan and you end up with discomfort in this way.

Arizona has it right on. Stock sucks, and Mustang was too soft for me. But the Corbin is da snizzle! Firm, but VERY comfortable after break in. Some say 500 miles, some say 1000 miles for the breakin period. For me it was almost instant. Construction quality is excellent and I like the leather vs. vinyl which most others are made of. Yes it takes some extra care, but not a big thing. I use their backrest, also very good. I too have a '99 Road King FLHR and am running the Corbin Dualtourer, smooth finish, with chrome studs. Wifey likes it too, a big plus. For me, worth every penny.
