Help me change my billboard number plate
Hi, my 2009 RK Classic is being delivered in the U.K. tomorrow. I had spent hours in showrooms across in Florida this Easter deciding on the right model for me and I love it.
When I went to pay last Saturday the Dealer had fitted the new U.K. registration plate - talk about a billboard! I hadn't realised just how much it would stick up when it was on show with just the bare bracket. The U.K. plate is 9"x7".
I would like to fit a sloping bracket (I think you call them 'lay-down'?)...is there one I can easily swop to? The U.K. dealer was struggling to find just a simple angled-bracket that does not also incorporate a USA plate mount/surround - which are too small for my needs. I need to retain a red reflective strip to keep it legal.
I wonder if there is even one which you can adjust the slope angle? Any ideas very welcomed.
Best regards

I have had little luck with 09 laydown type lic. mounts. I ended up getting a relocation for below my tail light and changing over to an LED tail light with the plate light on the bottom. But I am not sure if that plate would fit there? and I am loosing the reflector so it may not be legle over there?

Here is the Kuryakyn laydown (and curved) frame on my 2009. I paid about $70 for it at the local dealer.

Here it is on my bike:

Tom from http://harleygoodies.com/ here. Get a regular laydown plate and drill through the billboard plate so it fits. It will be difficult to find a laydown that fits a British plate.
