1996 RoadKing handel bars
I was wondering if anyone has replaced their stock bars with mini apes ? I went to my HD dealer and he wants 1500.00 to 2000,00 $ to replace my bars . He says that i will need s.s steel or braided cables . Does anyone know off bars that will fit without replacing the cables ? all i want is to be able to lean back alittle on long trips.

thats lame! I got a set of Heritage softail bars for my '05 RK. WAY better ride and more comfortable. they are about as tall as you can go with factory length throttle/idle, clutch and brake line. you will need to gently "un-bend" the hard front brake line and thats all. Its super easy, it took me less than an hour. much better feel. call local shops. pm me if you cant find a set locally and i have an extra set now as im going to 18" apes.
