IMO the best thing I 've done for my motor, is Pipes, A/c, sert, Andrews cams..15-30% better TQ over stock. motor runs a lot cooler now at 205*-210*, used to be 240*. Spent $1700 on above..

the 2k or so I've put in chrome is out and the new chrome is what a lot of people are doing....

Option 1 - performance and comfort
-air cleaner
-slip on's
-stage 1 download or pcv
-seat
-grips
-highway pegs

Option 2 - service and maintence
-do it yourself - service manual, synthetic fluids, oil filters, gaskets, etc. necessary tools if you don't have them, jack, wheel chock. (you'll have a lot of money left over so you can buy other things)
-or, you got enough for the 1k, 5k, 10k, and 15k services plus extra, so it's your maintenance money for the next few years. (if you don't feel like doing your own service)

Option 3 - bling
-chrome crap everywhere. (you'll run out of money fast.)

Option 4 - do nothing and save it
-just ride the bike and change stuff as you discovery what you want.

Option 5 - use the money to take many, many trips
-gas money
-hotels
-food
-t shirts from various lo-cals.

First, a seat that works for you (with a backrest) and handlebars that fit. Once you've got these two things answered the rest of equation is easy. This will make all the difference in the world. My Road King now has a little over 70K. Bought it new, and the seat and bars were changed before I even picked it up. Good Luck.
