Just bought my 09 SG a month ago and when I got it home I noticed the very front edge of the front fender had a 3/4 of an inch chip on it. I took it back to them and they ordered me a new fender. Only down side is that its taking 3-4 weeks to get it which is no big deal, its a good chip but its not like I can not ride it. So......yes take it back to them and I am sure they will take care of it for you.

Tom from http://harleygoodies.com/ here. I would suggest going to the dealer and talking to them. Sounds like a warranty issue to me.

Regards,

Hey Shipmate...
Congrats on your new ride.
As everyone as already stated, take it back to the dealer.

Congrats on the new scoot. Definitely take it back! They'll make it right. Make sure they do. It's all part of the process. Good Luck.

I am going to take it back - I want them to listen to the engine again anyways... I feel like an idiot but I don't know what the ting sound is.

At the 1K maintenance should I switch to Synthetic?

Also I was wondering on what set of pipes to replace the stock to make it a little louder - not screaming loud but louder than the current stock

I had about a 1/4 scratch on my fairing took it back to the dealer and they replaced it.By the way congrats on the new SG I also came off a honda and had the two same questions as you about the viberation and the engine noise.I guess its just the monster in the engine trying to get out. I put rinehart slip-ons my bike and am happy with them.

I just got my SG two weeks ago and the day I brought it home I noticed a small paint blob and large paint run on the left side of the tank. I also found a spot on the fender that looks like they painted over a rock. I will be taking it back this week. Good luck with yours.

Where did you get the reinharts and how much did they cost and did you have to get your bike reprogramed?

Sorry for all the questions -
