Man, I envy you! Ride safe and take in as many of the sites as you can squeeze into the time you have available... and take lots of pictures to share with us when you get back.

Sounds like a great ride. When my daughter's away at college in a few years, and I can get a month off from work, that's what I want to do. I'm jealous!! Ride safe, post pics!

How long you giving yourself?

Don't forget to do some time on Route 66.

PS. I'm jealous.

Don't do it all on the Interstate and spend some time in Colorado. Ride safe.

And far as time goes I think it can be done in 2 to 3 weeks. I haven't made reservation anywhere and I don't have to be home anytime soon. I think Ive watch Wild Hogs to many times.

Good luck and be careful.... remember Semi Trucks don't know how to use there brakes so they will just pull out in front of you for no FN reason at all. I think if they press on their brakes someone in their families gets killed or something... I'm almost certain of this! LOL

Stay at Motel 6 ... you can get in them for about 52 bucks a night and it is nice to have a shower and get a good nights rest. I only camped out twice and decided that it just isn't as nice as having a nice bed and shower. If you are like me you will drive about 13 hours or more a day.... and you will need your rest.

Talk with you soon, Ralph
that's great advice. I went out west and back last summer and only camped two nights. you get in to the states that have 90 degree heat after a long days ride and you'll want a bed and warm shower.

Ride safe!

my trip pics with maps, for reference if you want. http://s334.photobucket.com/albums/m432/iamme_62/

Thumbs up

It'll be great. Enjoy the ride and stay off the big slab and take the back roads as much as possible so you can really see America! Do a Map Quest or Harley Ride Plan and check the "avoid highways and toll roads" box to see your best routes.
