Royal Purple stinks!
I just changed my oil over to Royal Purple and according to my thighmometer my engine seems to be alot cooler. But now when i decel or stop I can smell the oil and it really stinks! Double checked the level both hot and cold. Any ideas or suggestions. Any body else notice this?

This is my guess, I changed to redline once and had to run it slightly lower than full to stop it from puking through the breather, but amsoil I could fill and not have the smell, dont know why, but really like the redline or the amsoil. I am very fond of the redline shockproof heavy in the tranny.
anyone else think the Royal purple is helping them run cooler, I am for anything to reduce the temps.

Royal Purple doesn't test as well as Amsoil, Mobile 1, Redline according to what I've read. I just switched to Amsoil fr HD 360 and so far really like it but hard to find so may end up w Mobile I. I also like the Redline Shockproof for tranny and their Primary oil, which helps w the clutch pull and heat, pricey but last longer.

course, if you believe everything that you read, there are pills out there to make your d*ck bigger, make you skinny, make you a mensa candidate, and irresistable to the women. hmm, then why do i see so many bald, ugly, guys running around (not gonna comment on d*ck size, don't wanna know) by themselves?
in truly independent testing, amsoil is a good oil. is it better than any other? in some areas yes, but in some areas no. truth is, there is no one 'best' oil. run what you like, that you can get a hold of easily, and change it according to manufacturers recommendations. you'll be good then.
