Rented a Street Glide, My impressions
Picked up a Cobalt Blue SG from the Baton Rouge HD Dealership yesterday evening. I have logged about 250 miles on the rental at the time of this post. I found the stock seat to be comfortabel for the first 60/70 miles. The more i ride the more it feels like I'm sitting on a concrete block. I felt myself reaching for the bars at times. The HD stero works well, better than I would have figured. The SG seems to be made for the curvy back roads, it handles well while conering. When I pulled on to Interstate 10 my first impression is that the stock engine is underpowered. I hope freeing up the air flow can improve the seat of the pants feel because it really needs help. So far, the only pros for me is 1) I Love the Cobalt blue and 2) The stero added to my riding experiencea great deal.

The eternal debate seems to be about the fit and preformance of a seat.
Bottom line (no pun) it's your call.
what's funny though, is after a long ride on a $600.00 seat it's amazing how good a wooden park bench can feel. lol
far as what model, well the best model is the one that has your name on the title.

Seat and bars are easy fixes, I think any seat will feal like a rock after a long ride. I've taken trips in cars that the seats feel hard in. I also agree with post above. Try the Road Glide out also. SG is a great bike, I love mine but try as many as you can.
