Unhappy Quiet Bafffles in my Rinehart TD'S (with Pics)

I put Quiet Bafffles in my Rinehart TD's yesterday and now it sounds like a Honda !
Took away the low sound and amplified the higher notes.

I will be taking them back out and putting the originals back in this weekend.
I wanted to tone it down a little bit due to complaints about loud bikes and
the possibility of new laws prohibiting "after market pipes"
There are a few running drag pipes around here and they are really rolling on the
throttle etc. when they come through our area.

Not sure if anyone makes slipons that fit a 2" header. If the v&H montser ovals
were 2" I would try a set of those.

Willie, please email pics of the quiet baffles: chtlaw@yahoo.com.

I just removed my standard baffles from my RTD's (talk about a messy job after 3+ years/40K miles of use) and haven't decided what to do. Have a loaner set of FatCats on the bike for now and don't care for them.

Thinking about wrapping the standard baffles and reinstalling them when I take the Fatcats off after tuning.

Good luck with your search for a better sound.

Default Email of pics on the way shortly

I am thinking of wraping my original baffels too because the quiet baffles do not sound
like a Harley anymore.
I just Emailed Rush Racing to see if they have a slipon to fit the TD 2" header pipe.

Are your FatCats 2" inlet ?

I just installed the "sound reducing" baffles in my Rinehart TDs. I am very happy with the sound and performance. I have the newer pipes w/ the 3 screws in the endcaps.

Default sound reducing" baffles ?

I also have the three screws in the end caps and I believe these are the newest ones.
but they are called the "Quiet Baffles" - not sound reducing baffles - Manufacturer Part Number: 18610332 I got them form Eastern Performance.

I think they sound like a Metric Bike with them in but maybe some prefer that, which is fine.
I will keep them in for a week or so maybe I will get used to the new sound and it does improve the low end but takes away form the high end performance.
