Default lid covers

man my poor little wife is only 4ft 11 in . , she has a hard time getting on. i have to lean the over as far as i can and let her get on. if i am lucky there is a curb or parking bumper nearby so she can stand on that and help her get on

There used to be a guy on the forums that sold clear 3M pre-cuts for saddle bag lids (the same stuff they put on the front of cars to prevent rock dings). Protects and keeps the stock look. I always thought that would be a good way to go but I never got around to ordering any.

same problem with my 4'12" wife. her boots kept hitting the bags. so installed the HD covers. they fit well but took some time stretching them and putting them on tight....look good and have been on for a couple thousand miles now with no problems. as somebody else mentioned, make sure it's warm when you put them on.

Never had any problems with my stock covers, ended up having some made. Turned out pretty good....

Got those 3m covers that go down about 3/4" over the edge and no more marks on the bag they said not to wax them or they will turn yellow.
