Default 09 FLHT radio question

Does the FLHT come with the electronics ready to plug in?
I have a Biketronics system coming, and was wondering if it is truly plug and play. I am going to attempt to do this myself.

the standard is wired for the factory set-up so anything you buy to replace the factory stereo will plug in...should be pretty straight foward

Thumbs up

Biketronics setup is plug and play and it works with the stock hand controls. I put one in my bike and I am satisfied with it. Many forum members have the Biketronics setup. Opinions vary on them but overall I think most are satisfied with their products. Their customer service is very good. I had a question and called and they talked me through my problem.

You think your FLHT is a mystery? I have an '09 FLHTP and I believe I need to change the forward harness among other things to change over to a normal Harley set up. Your miles ahead of me! Smile, plug your stuff in, and enjoy, it'll be that easy. Good luck.

Do people read the post before they answer?
You should talk to Biketronics, but it should be plug and play. I'm sure you will have a little grief. Just take your time.

Ha ha, must be over 40.
My HK radio just lost the LCD. It should be covered under warranty, bringing it in tomorrow, but I'm wondering if I should have went the Biketronics route.
