Default ABS? Yay or Nay?

This question may be moot since I'm impatient and will be buying mid season and will probably take what I can get but...

Should I get the ABS on my 09 Ultra Glide or not? I have it on my current bike (08 Suzuki Burgman 650 Exec) and I have activated it a few times now with run-ins with cars and deer. It sure SEEMS to work but it's hard to tell. The cost isn't an issue but I hate to pay for things that don't work. Does the HD version actually work or is it just an add-on for marketing/insurance purposes?

Yay

I'm glad I have it and four good friends told me they love it which is why I got it.

Question? Do you have to slam it on like in a car? Riding for over fifty years, I don't think I could bring myself to do that on a bike.

won't buy another bike without it. It was an option my dealer talked me into and I sure glad he did. Looking at moving into a 09 and it is a must have.

ABS is well worth the money. You never know when you will need it but you are sure happy to have it when is saves your butt (and your bike).

Get it by all means, but buyer beware, I rarely see a touring bike on the sales flaoor at my local dealer that has ABS. The ones with ABS are sold first it seems.
