Default Buffing out Scratches

I pulled the seat off my 09 Vivid Black Ultra Classic today to do some thorough cleaning. I noticed that where my seat sits on the gas tank that the paint is messed up a bit. Not really scratched but very noticeable marks. Tried good ole turtle wax and it didnt get the scuffs out. Any ideas on what type of stuff to use to get these marks out with without messing up my paint?

Excellent stuff. Removes scratches and swirls. I use it on my Black 06 EG and it looks like new paint.

i use the harley scratch and squirrel remover, even when someone wants to see how my bike fits them and they end up dragging their foot across my saddlebag. nobody else gets to sit on my bike again after having to buff out their screw up. but the harley stuff works great too. haven't tried the maguires, but will. side note, those people who feel the urge to get on my bike can forget it. hope you get it all buffed out. and remember there is a chemical in the vivid black that attracts bugs.
