Tell your dealer to do an "easy link" inquiry through their system or check h-dnet. Both will show dealers that have them in stock. Your dealer gets it from another dealer and you will have to pay the shipping. This way you still remain loyal to your dealer.

thanks for all the feedback. Yea, tried eBay right away with no luck. My dealer did do the search and came up with the one dealer close to me but would perfer not to buy from them. I will check out Chicago HD. With 20% off and if they have it in stock sounds like a win win!

Thanks again!.

Why would you want to buy a helmet from HD? There are tons of helmets better than Harley's low-end helmets. The problem with HD helmets is that someone else makes them, and customizes them slightly, then they vanish the next year. A few years down the road when it's time for a new face shield, you'll be SOL.

My first helmet was a full face HD that within a short time you couldn't find replacement shields for it. I then went to higher end Shoei helmets where the shield has been available for years for a wide range of helmet models, and you have a wider choice in tints vs. just plain clear.

The helmet I want in the HD line is an open face. I like the looks of the helmet that is the only reason I am going with the HD. I have a Shoei Full face that I love just looking for a nice half helmet.

Well, I called Chicago Harley as some of you have said to try. 20% off retail and shipping was $10. From Chicago to Milwaukee, 1day shipping so all is good. The people I talked to at Chicago HD couldn't have been better. Seem like a great bunch of folks down there. The dealer I buy EVERYTHING from up here discounts all of there parts and goodies too BUT not 20% off. Factor the discount and shipping is still better than buying local with sales tax and not as big of discount. Was sad to buy away from my local dealer BUT hey, times are tough and I will take any deal I can get!

I refuse to pay the HD prices on a half helmet...To many other helmets for half that price....I love my flat black skid lid.
