Saw a guy PUSHING his Sportster along the shoulder of an Interstate Highway last summer, 90 degrees out and he's sweating bullets. I stopped to ask what the deal was and he stated that he was out of gas and was pushing it to the nearest station. (about 3 miles) No doubt, it WAS a bad neighborhood (East St. Louis IL) but Geez!! I told him to sit tight and that I'd be right back. I had a friend that lived a couple miles away, so I rode to his house, got a gas can, went and squirted a couple of gallons of premium into it and took it to the guy. Need less to say, he was a very happy camper. He flipped me a 10 spot, told me to keep the change, fired up his Sporty and with a grin on his face, rode off into the sunset. He felt good, I felt good, and everybody lived happily ever after. By the way, I told him to keep his money, but I made him promise to pass it forward the next time he say a fellow rider sitting on the side of the road. Got a funny look, but made my point.

I always at least slow down to see if they need help. I've even turned around and gone back. It's bad enough being on the side of the road in a car, but a bike seems that much worse.
Helped a Brit that ran out of gas last year, helped a guy tie down his Wing on the trailer a few weeks ago and even hung out with a guy with a sporty waiting for his ride & trailer. It takes a few minutes out of your ride to at least find out whats happening.
Never understood the mentality of at least not asking!

I was driving down the road and saw this guy pushing a bike on the other side of the divider of the highway, I had my ramp and tie downs in the truck and decided to hit the next exit and go give him a hand, turns out he just got the bike out of the stealer ship after a motor rebuild and it tossed the bottom end out for the most part, We loaded it up and i took him back to the stealer ship and dropped him off and refused his money and told I might need help someday and to pay this forward to the next rider you see needing help.

Sometimes you can help and somtimes you can't, but I'll always pull over to ask.
I 've helped "out of gas" riders a few times since I carry an extra 10 miles of premium wherever I go.
They always want to pay me back but instead I just ask them to pay it forward. Maybe it'll come back around someday.

Sittin on the side of the road Fri. night, flat tire. Lucky to not lay her down. Extremely busy motorcycle street. Musta seen about 60 bikes or more pass by and look, no motion to see if I'm O.K. need help etc. 1 guy on a Yamaha, motioned, 1 guy. I always ask, stop when I see a disabled bike, even if all I can offer in the way of help is a cell phone. What a great brotherhood of bikers we have here in Cincinnati Ohio, what a bunch of posers who bought a bike just to get laid. It's called karma boys and girls, hope it comes around and bites your poser a#@$!!!!

I don't see it very often, but when I do I ALWAYS stop.... Being a girl, I get kinda freaked to stop for vehicles (but I still have) but bikes, nope, Always stop... and did again yesterday. He was fine, but I had to make sure...
It was one of the last days of my riding season last year and I was not gonna fuel up my bike cause I was having my tins repainted, so I ran out of fuel about 1 1/2 k from my house n was pushing... I had sooooo many people stop.. Even a car load of young boys, ran out with a fuel can for me... it was awesome...
