Advice for NC mountains trip
#11
Live in Kentucky and ride to the Smokey area quite often. While I doubt you'll need "winter" gear in June, you never know in the mountains...
I would pack a rain suit, sweatshirt, gloves and maybe a leather jacket. A helmet with some type of face shield would be a nice thing for the wife if it starts raining or gets cold ( if Momma ain't happy, nobody's happy, right?)
I too carry several items for different riding conditions...while leather looks the best, some of the new textile jackets and pants are a lot better and can made to adapt to lots more different conditions..air vents for hotter riding, liners for cooler nights.
I like my First Gear mesh jacket with liner..helps me go with one jacket for varying conditions. Course I never go anywhere without my Gerbings
Just make sure you take care of the wife.....
