Default Just checked a used bike - Advice needed

I just checked an '07 Electra Glide with only 800 miles (yes that's eight hundred) on it.

Of course the bike is overall in very good shape, but I noticed the exhaust of the front cylinder is very blue. I saw that on the right side next to the driver foot board. Anything to worry about?

exhaust pipe blueing is common, single wall steel tubing, no worries.

although miles are very low, consider having a PrePurchase Inspection (PPI) done.

Blue pipes are usually the normal lean AF issue. This is why we have guards on the pipes...usually hides this ugly mess! I'd buy it...ride it till you can't anymore!

It has already been said above, but this is normal. Take it to an independent if you have one to take a look at it if you are not comfortable looking it over yourself. Pull a carfax report and look for signs of road rash from being laid over or wreaked.

With that being said if you like it buy it and ride the hell out of it.

It's a sin to do that to a bike...

What's the story behind the bike? Owner just wanted a Harley and never rode, illness, new rider with too much bike, divorce sale, owner had multiple bikes, etc.? I would want to know why so low miles. Late last year, I bought a '05 Deluxe with 480 miles on it from a guy that got it as a gift from his stepson. New rider, too much bike for him, so he never rode it.

As already said, blue pipe is pretty common. Engine is setup pretty lean from factory. You might want to look in to fuel managment options and air intake options (there are many for both). Does the bike have IDS installed?
