Replace the guage, sounds like the damper is broken with the needle swing back and forth. Doc

My 09 SG gauge seems to be dead on and constant. Even so, I still used the odometer, old habits I guess.

175??? I start to panic when I hit 140.... I've been in the boat of pushing my bike (a old Honda) for a mile or two when I ran out of gas......

Like everyone else, I go by mileage, not the gauge. I use it as a guide, but the mileage is the final say! (Unless one of my kids learns how to reset this one too!)
