HoggChopps lowers arrived...
... today and they look great. Paint was flawless and the colour match (Crimson Red Sunglow) is spot on. I got them mounted up no problem in less than an hour and I really like the way they look. Much less bulky than the factory lowers and more of a 'custom' look.
I didn't have time to go for a run this afternoon but will hit the road tomorrow and let you know how they perform at speed.
Thanks Andy.

Got out for a good run today and the verdict is - I like them! Definitely less wind noise for a start. It was actually a bit disconcerting hearing engine noises I'd never heard before but I got used to that pretty quick. I might even start using the radio.
As for helmet buffeting, it did seem to be less. I wound her out on the freeway and it was pretty smooth at 75-80mph. Much less wind coming up the sides of the tank. I might try removing the fork air damm and see what that does.
So, all in all, I'm pretty happy. I think that's it for mods this year - budget is shot.

I never really wanted lowers (that's one reason I bought the RG) but these look pretty good on the bike and they seem to perform as well.
