Air Pressure for E3's
What air pressure are you guys running with the Elite 3 ,solo and two up , front and rear.

40 PSI all the time on the E3. You can run 35 in the front.

Running a higher pressure will make the tire last longer. When I ran dunlops, 40 and 40.

There is a limit to that principle. Dunlop says that if you go higher than the rated pressure (cold) the tire will protrude more at the center and thus will wear faster there. Since that's what wears the fastest on a touring bike the tire may be less durable if you inflate beyond the recommended pressure. I run 37F/40R cold, up to perhaps 38F when loaded, and am getting excellent wear from the rear. The front has only been on for 5K and shows no wear yet.

I run 36-38F and 40-42R Have 10K on both and still looking good

I,m running 38F and 40R. Almost 8K on them now and literally very little wear.

40 rear and 36-38 front, got 15K on last tire 5K more than the 402

Are the E'3 bias tires or radials??

They make them in both.But you want to run the bias on our Harleys. I think they make the radial for the Gold Wings.
