Default 2009 touring models

Trading my Heritage for a Street Glide Tuesday morning, just wanted to say Hi and ask about any issues that have come up on the '09 models or the good points of touring models.

Nothing but mostly good things to say about the '09 Ultra. I went from an '05 (got rear ended) to the '09 and there is a huge difference in the ride, vibration level, smothness etc. The only down so far is that the 96 engine puts out a lot of heat, much more than the last bike. I am thinking of having it tuned to enrichen the mixture just to cool it a little.

I agree with flyboy. Great on everything except heat. Can feel it even when riding on a cool day. What color are you getting? Picked my Red SG up on Monday.

I just rode an 09 while waiting for my 08 to get serviced. The 09 is much cooler than the 08.

Gotta say I am 100% satisfied with my 09 Street Glide over my 05 EGC....nothing wrong with my EGC, but what a difference.

Traded in a 2004 road king custom. Good bike but like my 09 SG much better.

Sounds like a winner from what I have read here. New frame, more stable ride. Can't complain about that. It would be me getting one if I got a big check for sure.

Good points of touring models? Man, there is an essay and a half. Let me just say once you go FLH there is no going back. The 09 tourers are the best bikes HD have ever made by a clear margin. I went around a sportster at 105 mph in a 55 mph left hand sweeper the other day. The look on his face at the next pub was priceless. Stable, fast, comfortable, great brakes, versatile, gorgeous. I could type all day.
