Anyone else having this issue? after I ride about 50+ miles after filling up my gauge starts bouncing all over the place...just like a pendulum.
any easy cures? quite annoying to watch
Never trust a motorcycle fuel gauge regardless. Sounds like there is a problem as mine does not bounce. Have it looked at under warranty. I rarely use mine, I keep track of each tank by the odometer. This is the only bike I have ever owned with a fuel gauge.
Mine really does not bouce as much, then again you are leaning th bike and there is only 5/6 gallons of gas. By nature it will move around somewhat. Mine is slow. No longer as accurate. Trip is the best suggestion. You are right though, it can be annoying. My '98 RK was like that.
I have a 2001 Ultra Classic that has the same problem of the gauge bouncing all over after 50 miles only started doing it at 32,000 shortly after the dealer put chrome forks on it. anyone have a fix??
