Unless something has changed drastically in the past years I'd have to say you are the exception to the rule for Interstate batteries.

I know a fair bit about lead acid batteries (was in charge of the one on my submarine for 3 1/2 years, went to school, QA, etc) and I've never had issues with them or heard of people having bad luck with 'em since I started workin in a garage in 1984. I used nothing but Interstate in anything I've owned that needs a battery.

Have there been any Harley Davidson Battery recalls within the past 1 or 2 years.

Does the dealer charge you more since he is a "stealer"?

The stock battery is about the best there is.

I just had a Battery Tender Jr do the same thing, it just stays red and never goes green. It cooked the battery in my ATV, so I bought an Interstate for it. Check the Battery tender first.
