Question about brake pads??
I have an 08 Streetglide with almost 10,000 miles. I have noticed that the brake pads are getting a little thin. How many miles can I expect these stock pads to last? Isn't this a little soon? When it is time to replace them, what kind do you recommend?
Thanks,

When they get to about .040 thick replace them with Lyndalls Racing Products. LRP.com Get the z pads ad NO more brake dust. They worked for me and if there is a problem just call and talk to Paul, he's the owner. I talked with him a couple of weeks ago about a warrenty problem I had, He fixed it then and there. He is here on the forums. Dan

With the Brembo pads, if you look at the pad while on the caliper from underneath you can see wear indicator line marks in the pads. Once you cannot see these lines anymore, that is .040. If you can still see the lines you still have pad left. The pads look thin to begin with even new. But yes, replace with Lyndall Z's when ready.

You need to replace them when they get to the wear indicators. Brake pad mileage depends on a lot of things. Your weight and riding style will affect how long they last. If you ride interstates and use engine braking a lot, they will last a long time. If you hot rod around town and get on the brakes hard at every stop, they won't last long at all.
