Default Apes

I had 16" ***** Efers on my king (SIG PIC)I'm 5'8 HD low-profile bucket seat
Let me tell you that theses apes are super comfy for me after 4 hours of highway i've didnt feel any shoulder aches, wrist aches or anything compared to the stock bs.I had some custom 12" made that caused some pain as well!
That xtra 4 inches made all the difference for me,hell the 18"s might be the sweet spot for you!

Installation is not bad at all, just time consuming and I'm no mechanic. Follow the service manual and you will get it done it about 5-6 hours. If you have any questions or hang ups let me know. I may be able to help.

Tey are a pain in the *** but I got them done on my 07. So many wires. I'm used to doing choppers where they are few wires within the bars. Carlini makes the nicest apes. If you think you want a certain size, add 2" as you will want to go higher. I wanted 16" and went with 18" and even feel 20" might have been a better choice.

If budget is no concern check out custom cycle controls as they will make the bars to fit your bike and have everyting inside the bars including brake and clutch lines. They are really plug and play as they come sent to you with everything ready for installation...also keep an open mind on pullback as if you took a survey you may find that most of us wished we went with less pullback. I went with 12" and wished I went with 5" or 6".

I'd like to throw out a hugh thumb's up to Johnny Vaughn at http://hdbikeparts.com/. I'm installing Wild 1 16" apes on a buddy of mine's Night Train this weekend and I kid you not, I ordered everything Tuesday night at around midnight and I had a e-mail the next morning when I woke up that everything has been shipped. I not only ordered the bars but everything to do the job (bar's, risers, top clamp, bushings, cables and wiring extention kit) He had everything I spec'd in stock and it'll show up on the big browm truck this afternoon.
I do alot of bizzness here on the net and it doesn't get any better then that!
I highly recommend Johnny to anyone looking to do apes..................Rich
BTW, I borrowed this pix from his website, yea baby.....
