I really feel sorry for you who live in the city. Here in the country, loose dogs a cats are in the same season as hogs. Year round. They provide great target practice. I won't have loose cats and dogs run around my place tearing things up. Irresponsible pet owners bring them to the country and dump them, they get sick and contaminate legitimate pets. Just shoot them and take them to the bone pile the same as you would do with a coon or any other critter. If you don't want to lose your "precious", keep them at home. BTW, I own a dog and cat, and both are under control with shock collars.

IMHO I think we are missing the point when we say move,or rent a place to store our bike. Why should we have to do anything special when the cat owner can't control his cat. I bet if you went to that landlord and scratched the front door of his car he damn sure would do something about it. Feed the damn cat to the biggest baddest dog in the neighborhood.

+1 on the mothballs. They also work to repel skunks, raccoons, & squirrels.

Now put away the cat trap and get a moth trap!

Cat lovers should respect cat haters and keep their cats inside. If the cat lovers let their cat go outside and roam, we as cat haters have to deal with the cats in our own way. If there is any animal on your property you as a home ownwer or renter have the authority to deal with that threat. So cat lovers, keep those cats indoors unless you want your deloved cat to suffer the rath of us cat haters. its as simple as that. Pellet gun worked for me, the kind you pump up. They used to sit on my driveway and roam my yard at night. I have a very expensive parrot. After getting shot a couple times they now cross the street when they get near my house.

I would WANT to kill it as well, but one thing I have found works well to train other peoples animals is my Airsoft M-4 carbine. It shoots 6mm pellets at about 325 fps. I don't think it penetrates, but I KNOW cats do not like it. We had a cat who would sit on my back fence and torture my rottweilers. It started becoming a problem for me because it would do it at night. Then my neighbors (owner of the cat) would complain about my dogs barking. I don't know what the cyclic rate of fire is on that Airsoft is, but I do know it was fast enough that that cat has never sat on that fence again........

As for the damage to your bike, you definitely need to address it with the owner

Great idea. That'll scare the hell out of the cat. And the cat will tell all his cat friends. Problem solved.

You got a cat on your own property damaging your own property. Shoot it, with a high power pellet gun....ON YOUR PROPERTY. Photograph the cat before and after and photograph the damage.

If your not keen on shooting it, try the other tricks. But if the cat is on your property damaging your property....well, you can't violate a cats civil rights, now can you?

problem is people go to jail for killing or otherwise hurting an animal. You'd be in less trouble if you killed the neighbor than his cat. Sad world.

As much as I'd love to hear of another cat dieing, I think you should try the moth ***** first. And if that doesnt work then I'd do this....

If the owner laughs in your face, I would inform him that you will set up a trap for any animals that could tamper with your vehicle.
I would politely let him know that the "animal" responsible for the damage will be "removed" at your expense.

I would simply threaten to take the cat to an undisclosed shelter, ASPCA, or some type of animal rescue....far away from home.
