Have cat Want to KILL
#11
Go to the store and pick up one of those plastic mats that you put on your carpet, the ones that have the sharp little spikes on them. Place the smooth side down on the seat so that when the cat jumps on the bike it will poke it's paws. We use this in dog training so that they will not jump on the furniture. You might place it all around the bike and if he try's to jump over it and on to the seat it will not matter.

Go over and tell the owner that your cat cause some serious damage to my bike. Show them. Maybe they will help you pay for it?
I so wanted to say rub dog sht on the bike to keep the cat away, but I think that would just be plain rude of me to say at such a serious time.
Could you imagine if you actually saw that thing digging its claws into the seat and purring. I have two cats and two dogs. We had three cats until one decided to **** in the house on the carpet in every corner. That cat now lives at a "FARM".

I'm neutral on cats so for the cat lovers keep your wits as you read this.
My advice is don't kill the cat - yet. Trying working it out with the landlord. If that doesn't work then catch the cat and dump a half gallon of Wesson vegatable oil it. It's humane (better than kicking or killing the cat) and the owner will get the point when the cat comes home and hops on the favorite lazy boy or sofa. A friend of mine "allegedly" did this and the problem was solved.
If all else fails, then the cat might need a blindfold and a cigarette.
