Unhappy Bike Gets Wet, Horn Blows!! WTF

When ever the bike gets wet ie. washing or rain the horn blows and will not stop until I unplug is. It happened a year ago and the dealer said it was a bad relay and replaced it but now it is happening again. I do not use a pressure washer and do not spray water direct on any controls or electronics. Has anyone else had this problem and how did you fix it?

Mine would do some weird stuff every once in a while until I discovered the wire was frayed. Apparently it had rubbed on the frame under the tank. When it made contact with metal viola weird stuff happened.

Never personally experienced that myself. I have ridden a lot of miles in the rain. I would suspect maybe the switch getting moisture in.

Check the wire, your shorting out somewhere that is is not getting good enough contact to short till it is wet. Somewhere on the wire you probably have a bare spot worn.

Better'n my problem! So far, once a year I've been caught in a day long "frog strangler". After each of 'em I've had to have the horn replaced. Not a problem till next month when the warranty expires......... I gotta find dryer places to ride, or better horns............<shrug>
