stock pipes without baffles is great for me.
My buddy has Vances and hines 4 inch , not sure of part number, without the baffles. You can't hear when you stand next to it. your ear drums get sore if you ride behind him.

I would say Big shots and Samson 128-M Fishtails are the loudest I've heard so far. They are two different sounds of "LOUD". I personally enjoy the more obnoxious loudness and I have installed the Samson 33 inch fishtails with the straight pipes ( not the muffler type )....then you need to install the 10 inch baffles from samson due to your fuel injection, computer and that jazz. If you put these slip ons on your bike, in this configuration, your breather needs to be bone stock. ( this is a friendly warning..changing that breather or putting on true duals leads to having to buy all that other crap like tuners and getting it dyno'd, etc.. )..Put them on, let the bike Idle for 30 seconds, drive the bike for no less than 25 miles before shutting it off and the 09 will self tune itself to the factory set amount of "lean" that it was when new 99% of the time. Thats true with most popular slip-ons. ..just my 2 cents from my own experience.

V&H basics are pretty loud. You can remove the perimiter packing so they are straight if you wanna go louder...

There isnt a baffle as such. you can look thru the mufflers like a telescope. There is packing material around the perimeter, and a perforated tube down the centra which is about 2 1/4". You can remove the inner tube and just end up with a 4" hollow shell.
