auxiliary lamp bulb?
Just picked up a set of replacement lamps for the EGC. Taking out the sealed beams and putting the 68348-05 bulbs.
Can any of you Harley wizards out there tell me what the bulbs are in these?
The replacement bulbs from HD are 68453-05.
I want to know if they are H3, H3B, H7, etc.....
thanks.

Cruise -- I believe they are 881 27w or you can get 35w.

Yup..........it's a 881 bulb that has the right angle plug on it. Some have said you can use a 880 bulb and the wires will just clear the back housing.

I tried the 880 and it didn't work for me. I ended up changing to the unit that uses H-3 bulbs. More options for H-3 type bulbs.

Someone said that with the 880 bulbs, you can cut the plastic that the wires come out of, and pull them down at a 90* angle and they will clear the back of the housing.

Why wouldn't one just get the right bulb?

More wattage selection with the 880 bulbs...........from what I've been told.
I went with some 881s in a pure white temp.
