Default HD HID Kit Vs. Dual Bulb Halogen Kit Optics

Hello All,
Does anyone know if the optics of the HD Hid kit are the same as the optics on the dual bulb halogen kit? I would like to put a HID headlight on my bike and it seems like it would be cheaper to go with the dual bulb kit and replace the low beam with an aftermarket HID kit. However, i know in cars the optics have to be different for HID than they are for halogen or your beam pattern will be all out of whack. If anyone knows please let me know.

thanks

You be the judge as this photo was taken by a member with two different bikes side by side. The question is whose equipment are you are testing as all is not the same.
