Got my 09 SG and took the dorky reflector strip off the bottom of the license plate bracket. To my dismay I spy an ugly rubber plug on the fender. Anybody know what it's for and is anyone got a fix for the ugliness.

 

I've heard of a couple of people painting with leftover paint when the do their inner fairing, but I was kinda wondering if there wasn't something aftermarket to plug it with as well.

 

One is for the radio antenna and the other dorky one is for the use by the CB antenna if you choose to spend the freaking $1200 for it.

Its there to add the bracket for a removable tourpack but the antenna has to be relocated also.

 

I just had my Road Glide repaired and its a cover for where the saddle bag brackets attach to the fender at the bottom. There is a bracket there that is attached to the rear fender. The rubber plug covers the ugly bolt head thats welded to the fender.
