Default GPS Mounting - Bars or Fairing?

I plan to add a GPS soon and was wondering what the preferred mounting is for a touring bike.

Handle Bar or Fairing mount?

What do you guys like and why?

Thanks

I've had mine both ways. It's on the bars now and I get less vibration.

I went with a handlebar mount. I believe the fairing mount requires you to drill holes?

Default I'm going to mount on the bars, clutch side.

I figure for the price of the HD GPS that upgrades the stock radio I could have the Garmin HD unit that will show all the roads and maps. The other way gives you audio commands and no maps. For all the money I want to see the maps.

Handle bar works for me, and I use Ram Mount, GPSCity.com is where I got mine after looking around at the prices. Personally, I like this one and use this one http://www.gpscity.com/item-ram-moun.../ramb309-2.htm
this way you can use more then one mount, just look up the GPS you have and I am sure they have one to fit you.

Center fairing mount made a big difference for me. Just a quick glance down with your eyes. I ordered prescription riding glasses when I had it mounted on the handle bar but with this mount I don't need them.

Very easy to take off and throw in the saddlebag leaving only the Ram Ball

Something else I have been thinking about after using my GPS a lot on the Harley, is this --> http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=150331700594

I can see where this would do well, and I did see a couple of people in Daytona during bike week that had something like it too.
