Default 11'' shocks on a bagger

I am looking for a set of 11" or even 10.75" shocks for my flhx. I do have a 18" rear wheel out back but don't ride 2 up very often. I would like to get low without having to buy a air ride kit. Knowing me I will never be happy with it and futzing with it all the time and its just one more thing to mess with. Anyone know where to get a set. I am not going with air shocks so spring preferably. I see that progressive makes all sorts of 11" springs but none for flh models. Is there any other models that swap over. I noticed that fxr and flh part numbers are the same. Can I put a set of 11" fxr shocks on a 2007 bagger. Thanks in advance.

Thumbs down 11" shocks

I wouldn't suggest 11" shocks on a FLHX. I had 11-1/2" Progressives on my '08 FLHX, while it looked cool, it rode like a pig. You are more than likely going to hit the fender with the tire too. You can count on it with 2-up forsure. I just sold a new set of 430 progressives on here a week ago for half of what I paid for them.
Howard @ www.motorcyclemetal.com can make any size Ohlins shocks that you want. Be prepared for him to talk you out of the 11" shocks, but if that is what you are stuck on, call him up. I went back to a 12" Ohlins on my bike. It rides awesome, and I'm not dragging my floorboards in every corner anymore. The low bike thing is way overated, looks cool, but not practical, at all. IMO. Good luck with your bike, Shaun

I have a set of Racetech 12''. Thats 12 inches measured off the bike. Once you mount them, the weight of the bike will shorten them (sag) . The ride quality is not great(read..sucks) but they look good.. I went to 13.3" Ohlins. The ride is unreal as is the handling. It's not low anymore.

I know low sucks but in my defence I am young and dumb and its just what I am looking for. I have a set of 11.5" progressives on now and while they are not glass by any means I don't mind them. I just don't want to bottom out. I would get heavy dutys. I am looking to swap between then with the 11" for around the town cool factor and 11.5"s or 12"" for trips. I just don't want air ride but love the slammed look maybe I need to look into some air ride shocks even though I don't want them. How is arnott the QA1 would be the set I would go with.

Just my .02, air shocks suck out loud UNLESS,,,you've got a load of 250lbs or more. I just HATE the firmness of the air shock when it's barely loaded.
