6.5" Speakers on the Road Glide stock location?????
Hello,
I looked and could not find it.... can 6.5" speakers replace the "stock" speakers on the RG? is there a special bracket needed?
I am doing the 6.5" on the inside of the Fairing but would like to replace the stock ones with 6.5" also
Thanks

I did a bunch of searches but no luck
You may be doing a one off custom install. I did find a lot of stock sizes but of a better quality and with amps that allow the factory controls to still work. Good luck

two ways to this -- someone (I forgot who) is making adapters for RG's now.
Infinity Kappa's 6.5 come with a metal ring that you can use to mount the 6.5, you have to cut the lip off the speaker holders mount the metal ring on to the stock speaker holders and speakers to the metal ring. The rings come with two different hole locations.
I'll try to find pictures.
Method 1 would be the prefable way to do it.

First I've heard of this...I have several friends with Roadglides and I'd bet all of them would be interested in putting 6.5" speakers in their bikes...I KNOW I AM!!
How would the sound be though with those small openings in the fairing for the grills? Anyone know of someone who's done it and can report significant sound quality improvement???????????

I was looking at the cut out specks from a 5-1/4 to a 6-1/2... and the difference in the cut out was only a little over a 1/2 inch, I am sure it wont be much sound loss from the 6.5 and alot of gain from the 5.25
