I finally got my fairing on after a $hit load of problems. I brought it without a radio and speakers. I not happy with the outcome of the paint and the direction of the flames (not the same one who painted the bike). I will get it repainted later. I installed a Kenwood KDC-x493 22wx4 RMS. It sounds real good. I'm happy to ride with it. I don't think I'm going to ever take it off. Thx Mr. Buck for your help!!!(Future recomemdations: buy a fairing brand new from the manufacture!)
Q,
Nice!!! I agree that the flames should follow the same 'flow' as the rest of the bike. Perhaps you can get the guy to 're-spray' the outer at some point and do it right...Did he see your bike before you had him do the job?
Q, nice job with the fairing and stereo. I remember when I got around to putting a stereo in my bike after not having one originally, and found the tunes distracting for a while. And be careful fiddling with the headunit while riding, especially in any kind of traffic.
I have always enjoyed the pictures you post of your bike and I didn't think you could improve on it. I was wrong. Fix those flames and you will have one of the hotest Road Kings in the county.
It sounds great parked and @ 70+. I took it on the Parkway and I had no problem hearing it. Then I got caught in a Monsoon. I need a higher windshield!
