Just put this solo version on my wife's '05 Sportster 1200. Works just like it is supposted to. Now we can chat when we are going down the road. Maybe not such a good thing.
Quite a few that we ride with have this set up. Make sure you have a good ground.
If that is the bike you are putting it on, I would think twice, it would NOT help the look at all.

Your bike is gonna look f$%&ed up with that big ole thing on the handlebar!!!!

I have several friends with UC's that i ride with so I've been looking for a setup. They are ALL overpriced. I'm going to try getting a decent handheld CB radio, clip iy to my belt, and spring for a quality headset. Should come in under $100.

Thx fellas, I was thinking the same thing ref the hand held CB. I found one by Midland (MID-822 $89). As you said Rdam, Just add a headset.. I just wanted to hear some remarks.

Default Jmcb 2003 du

Q HOG,

Yes...the J&M JMCB 2003 DU is overpriced as are the J&M headsets, but you get what you pay for; high quality. However, there is a dealer in Murray, KY called Overby's Two Wheel Sound that sells J&M systems 15% less than MSRP. Take a look at www.twowheelsound.com when you have time. The owner is the installer and he's extremely knowledgable and good at what he does. Overby's won't steer you wrong.

I have installed the system and worked well. Make sure the bracket is for a road king. Also if you have a function key you will need to add spacers under radio to keep PTT lever from changing functions. In addition had to buy the high performance mike, works alot better.
