That is part of what I have to look at too. My budget doesn't allow for extravagance at this point and what I have seen of the Fullsac it looks to do the job just fine. I certainly couldn't do that and have it look half as nice.
I think you would need a little more than a hacksaw. The fullsac may be a little over priced for what you get, but I bought it anyway cause if I tried to do what fullsac did with parts from a hardware store and a hacksaw it really would be a butcher mod.
I can't argue that true dual head pipes would be better but if your on a budget like me, the fullsac conversion works just fine. 9 out of 10 Harley owners/riders can't look at it and know the difference.

I too had the True Dual itch a few weeks ago. I was looking into the Fulsac mod and have to say it isn't a bad way to go. I opted to go with V&H Dresser Duals because I wanted it to look clean. Fulsac recommends that you use your stock shields, I wanted new shields especially on the right side to be one full heat shield. Got mine at Denniskirk for $318.00 which includes shipping and tax.
