Default Road King Fork Cover Replacement

Hi All,
Last year my brother was killed on his 2003 Road King and I bought it from the insurance company to fix it up and ride it. I have it done except the fork covers are dented, and I have new ones to replace them with. I am unemployed so I have lots of time and was told this is not a hard job. I have a jack and tools, just want to see if there is any hidden things to watch out for.
Thanks,
Doug

First of all, I'm very sorry about your brother, it's always tough to lose a family member.

Not sure what you mean when you say "fork covers"...

Sometimes the covers are called "tins", they are mounted on the top of the front forks.
Thanks,
Doug

Cow bells.

Not a bad job. Manual helps. You can do it without removing the wheel from the legs. Slide the tubes out of the triple trees, remove and replace the bells.

Default fork bells

Sorry about your brother, I know how you feel. I too, lost my brother on a bike. It's been almost 11 years now, still seems like yesterday.
I have a stock pair of fork bells that I took off of my '08 FLHX if you want/need them. I replaced them with Arlen Ness's fork "boot" bells for a different look. PM me if you want the stockers, pay shipping and I'll send them to you. Thanks, Shaun

They're alot easier to change on a road king than my street glide....
these are the ones I put on my bike-
