Default Worth HD North in KC offers employee pricing in May 09

To anyone looking for a scoot, saw the commercial on TV this morning when I was getting ready for work.

Not sure what the employee discount is, but I know when I bought my Ford Mustang years ago, the deal I got through my friend was better than anything any dealer offered me at the time - by a long shot.

Might be worth checking out (no pun intended)!

that's funny seeing as there's not really an "employee price" on a Harley...

Most businesses give some sort of an employee discount on their own goods/services - I'd be surprised if HD didn't. Also, why would they be spending a bunch of money to run an advertisement if no such thing existed?

To tell you the truth there really is not "Employee" discount with Harley. The dealership may offer there own employees a discount and that is what they may be advertising. Harley's "Employee discount" is run through the Motor Company. And I can GUARANTEE that they are not offering this to the public.

Well, somebody screwed up or this is blatant false advertising because that is exactly what the 30 second spot on the tube said. I might have to call them today to see exactly what they are doing...

It is my understanding that the dealerships are independently owned and operated. Not a franchise... There is some flexibility in costs from within.

This is NOT the commercial they ran, but it says about the same thing:

I think this is true as well. Probably why some promote themselves as "MSRP dealers" (Gail's), while others do not.

I know the owner of this dealership. Bought mine directly from Rick. (sorry, won't say what I paid for it). I believe the price is $1K off MSRP. I think the price is for Ultra's only though, but don't quote me on it.

Shop around. Went to Gail's, went to Worth, went to Central HD South, then took quotes from all places down to Blue Springs and bought a bike.
