Anyone have any info about the Saddleman Road Sofa seat? Like it, is it worth the money? How does it hold up, especially if your a big guy like me, 6'6"/270. Thanks
I tried real hard to get one for my SG a couple years ago, but never could find one. I kept hearing it was on back order, then not available. Later I heard that the quality was not good. Guess I was lucky I couldn't find one. I'm riding a Sundowner now and well pleased.

I tried one on my 2005 Ultra -- and immediately took it off the bike and sent it back. The material they use on their seats, while keeping you planted in the seat, is resistant to any sliding around or moving around in the seat. It is naugahyde, so you'll eventually get what you pay for too.
The other thing I didn't particularly like on the touring seat is the way the back of it turned up to hold you in the seat. It just seems like a weird design and not what I'd consider comfortable for an all day ride.
I don't mean to bash anyone on this site, but I also hate seeing people spend money needlessly when they can get better products that are more satisfactory... Try Mustang, Corbin, or my preference -- Russell Day-Long seats (custom made on your old seat's pan).

Get a Mustang. I had the Road Sofa and sent it back after I saw what it did to my frame paint. It doesn't have any rubber bumpers on the bottom like the Mustang does. The fiberglass pan sits directly on the frame and fender.

Although, what I consider to be very good quality, Mustangs aren't for everyone, I had two, neither one suited me.
I would recommend Saddlemen any day... bought a King Seat w/Gel
4 years ago and could not be happier.... won't buy another
Harley without buying a Saddlemen right afterwards.
The seat has held up great....no complaints with the quality of
fit.
I was terribly uncomfortable on my '05 Ultra stock seat. Rented an '08 Ultra for a weekend and didn't want to get off, love the stock seats. Tried having my stock seat redone several times, foam, gel pads, wool cover, nothing worked. I finally broke down and bought the HD Road Zepplin (leather). Nice seat. Wide and the air adjustments allows you to change the pressure points when you're in the saddle for a long time.
