Default Screaming Eagle Heavy Breather question

I ride an 03 Road King with a carb and just did some motor work over the winter. I put in a Stage III big bore kit and put in a set of SE203 cams. I run Rush slip ons and was thinking of putting on a heavy breather and was wondering about the performance of it and if it will put out any more power.

Thumbs up heavy breather

I had the stage 1 kit, with SERT, Thunder header(2-1). Then went to the Heavy Breather, and noticed a significant difference. "Baggers Magazine", did a write up on them and said +10HP, I wouldn't go that far, but it was very noticable from the stage 1 w/ K&N filter.

AND- They look BADASS......

I dont believe there is any performance increase, but it does give you a different look. I can also tell you that you can hear the breather sucking air.

Heavy breather and new muffs = 9 more hp vs. SE Stage 1 and old muffs in my recent switch.

I don't know how it compares with the Stage one,Big Sucker or some of the other popular AC's performance wise,my guess pretty close, but after 14k mi. I pulled mine off to clean it and was amazed how clean everything was,no dust, oil, residue of any kind in the intake manifold. It looked like it had never been run.The only beef I've had with it was oil seeping out the bolt caps but new o rings and silicon took care of that.

I don't know the answer to your question but I have one on a 2008 screamin eagle springer. I have never heard it suck air. Never had anyone comment that they heard it sucking air. Me and my peeps might not be able to hear as good as other folks. After all we do ride HD motorcycles with LOUD pipes...

the S&S tuned intake system is supposed to pick up more HP than the SE, have a look at their website.

I had to run the SE as I couldnt find anything else to go on the 58mm TB. Intake noise is ever present, even at idle there is a clacking noise. Mixed in with the noise from the power duals really like it.
