Running the Supertrapp SEs also.
They are louder than stock but not by much.
A little deeper tone and a little louder but quiet enough where they don't bother us on road trips.
The performance gains are noticable over stock also
I have been very happy with them and would probably buy them again

I like my Jackpots with the 1.75 baffles. I like them better than the SEs that I have heard. I like the 1.75s, but might be a little louder than you are looking for. They have a nice rumble and really open up when I roll on the throttle. I suggest calling the guys at Fuel Moto and talking with them. They are nice guys and can recommend something at a decent price. I have to agree that the Monster Ovals sound great, but I couldn't afford them.

I am using the SE 64895-07A's with true duals and they were perfect for me. Pretty good sound and not too loud. I changed cams and now they are almost too loud.
I couldn't believe the cams made that much a difference, but they did.

Default Mufflers

I have the V&H true dual head pipes on my Ultra and originally used the Basic slip ons as well. They got way to loud for me even after re-packing them a couple of times. I now have the Monster Ovals on and my wife and I are extremely happy with the sound and the low tone that they emitt. When running 70 mph on the highway the radio is clear and fellow riders can run just off my side and remark constantly on how good these pipes sound on my bike.

I'm running V&H duals and their classic slip-ons as well (the V&H turndowns, though more like an eagle-beak). They sound great if you like the classic Harley sound (and who doesn't?), but they are loud. Not quite earplug loud, though, but I'm thinking about going the SuperTrapp route. They offer a wide variety of end caps and from what I've heard, are only marginally louder than stock.

Ahhh, thanks for the chuckle. Problem is, replacing the mufflers is a whole lot cheaper than getting rid of the wife.

Thanks for the responses. Interesting to hear some of you made the same mod and noticed the same results. I was gonna go with the SE Touring mufflers but got talked out of it by someone at my local dealership. Oh well, live and learn.

The 07 S E Street Performance mufflers are made for the 88 & 96" engines, so they will not work on my 1340 EVO/80" engine; tried the 06 SE 2 piece (Supertrapp SEs) and they sounded like a set of jackhammers on the open road. Would like a little rumble over stock and wondering if a set of the Jackpot Classics with a 1-3/4" baffle on the right side would be what I'm looking for.

If the wife is going to make you take your mufflers off why not just ask her what SHE would like on there? That way you could avoid making the wrong decision again.

He can't, he has true duals. The original left muffler is restricted - stock exhaust flows mostly out the right pipe.
