Went to OCC today they had a friggin Mazda car show in their parking lot. They do have a couple of badassed Baggers that they built in the showroom. And you can actually see some bikes for sale. Drama queens aside they do build some pretty bikes. After leaving OCC went to Vforce which is right down the street but Vin and Cody close at noon on Saturday. Nothing to see outside there.

It's so funny to hear people say that the melodrama in the shop stopped people from watching. The melodrama made it a "reality TV show" more than a bike building show. The combination of the excellent builds and the drama made the show appeal to anyone interested in bikes, customs and even those who watched specifically because of the drama. Fans got to watch a family and close knit group of staff bascially become rich super stars and then implode over time. If that isnt reality TV, I dont know what is...

Not to hijack the thread but-
Our local HD dealer tried to sell the OCC production bikes and was stuck with them forever. WAAAAY over priced for what they are when the loaded harley sitting next to it is almost half the price. They are pretty but not very comfortable looking. As much as they cost, you would be afraid to park it anywhere. They have one left to sell and do not think any more are on order.
I occasionally watch the show but it has been going downhill. I guess there just does not seem to be anything different that has not been done before. It would be interesting to see the show turning back to their roots to appeal to the common guy to reflect the lack of corporate sponsors due to hard economic times.

They are nothing but bike assemblers. Anyone can put all the parts together after receiving them in bubble wrap boxes. I attended a 9/11 run a few years ago, and half way down to ground zero they were pushing the SpiderMan bike on the shoulder.I thought SpiderMan was more reliable than that.? I was told Justin (bike painter) left at first because of not being paid. He was told air time on T.V. was payment enough. When they built the new shop bragging how all American they were, everything was Non-Union. So all local Unions set up picket lines. However, the shop was built by everything but Union Labor. So it's o.k. to put big price tags on the bikes, but building with Union Labor was too expensive. What Country did the Labor cost go to? The attitude and bikes still don't impress.IMO it's only a matter of time before everyone realizes that all the publicity in the world can't build an American Legend.
