A FORD is probably the only truck tough enough to be able to carry a Harley in it. Why do you think they make a Harley addition!?!

Interesting you say that...Since Ford has the only contract to use the Harley Name on it's trucks! And they aren't too bad a truck at all! I would love the Diesel F-250!

The bike is almost nine feet long from the front of the front tire to the back of the fender. If the bed is 6.5 feet inside and 4 feet wide, it will be 7.6 feet from corner to corner. I think the best idea was to put a 2 by 6 under the whole bike to spread the weight away from the gate.

Me too. I have driven a couple, and with a few mods they are FAST!

6.5 ft bed, F-150. It fits with the gate open and did no damage to the gate.

I have put my 96 RK in the back of my FORD several times and never had a problem. I did add one of those flip rail type bed extenders because I felt safer having something behind the bike with the tail gate down.

So far my 08 EG has always been ridden, never trailered or trucked. :-)

I've got the short(er) bed and it's fine. It won't bend the tailgate, it'll ride on the "crack" between the tailgate and bed. Tie it down good and no problem.

They had to put twin turbos on the PowerStroke to keep up with us Cummins and Duramax owners with the singles.

I believe the tailgate will need to be left down. I used to load my KTM 525 EXC dirt bike in my 2002 F250 with a short bed and could not close the tail gate if I loaded it in strait.

I was wondering how long it was gonna take for this thread to degrade down to the GM vs. Ford vs. Dodge debate! I knew we would get the "why would you want to put it in a truck...just ride it" comments
