Default Wheel Bearings

Can a set of Bearings be changed out in a 2007 wheel from the 1" axle back to the 3/4 axle? I found a heck of a deal on a set of Street Glide Wheels but my bike is a 1999 with the 3/4 inch axles. I measured everything and the offsets and rotors will be exact. It is just the bearings. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Kevin

I would say yes. When I bought my chrome 9 spoke wheels they fit everything for many earlier years, just required the correct installation kit (bearings).

I believe the OD of the bearings is the same all the way back. Just the ID has changed.

I would ask more questions. I also have a '99 and have looked into buying newer wheels and changing the bearings several times. But each time I'm told it won't work. However, alzhiemers is setting in and I can't remember the "exact" reason. I think its the type of bearings found on the '99's. Do a site search. Good luck.
