Default Maggie Valley NC. place to stay

Planning a trip in a couple of weeks and would like some suggestions on places to stay. I know there are some places in town, right on the river, but can't remember the names. Also, any things to do or places to ride while I'm there . Thanks

Don't recall the lodging, sorry, but it looks Wheels Through Time is opening for a one day event on May 14th....http://www.wheelsthroughtime.com/ if you are around then. Good riding in the area, my brother lives near there and you can enjoy the Blue Ridge Parkway, and you are not far from the Smokies National park. Have fun, we were there in the fall and enjoyed it...

I usually stay at the Comfort Inn, but I'm guessing you're looking for cabins. Highway 19 South is a nice ride down into the Natahala Gorge. A few miles south on 19, if you take a right onto 129 toward Robbinsville and then take a left 165 at Robbinsville, you can ride the Cherohala Skyway. It's one of the most beautiful rides I've ever taken. At the other end you can take a right on 68, hit 411 north and another right on 129 and come back on 129 and ride the dragon.

The Travelowes Lodge in Maggie Valley is a decent spot and the prices were reasonable.

Went a few years ago and stayed at www.jonathancreekinn.com super nice, clean, think it was like $50 a night. Diner with in walking distance, areas to sit out in front, bikes parked in front of rooms, biker friendly, in house laundry. Back decks and hottub along the creek is amazing looks like you in the woods.

I stayed at the Laurel Park Inn several times. It is not real fancy but the owners are very nice and ride. They hosted a couple of Rallys for us

We're thinking about a trip there in early June. Haven't yet made up our minds. Not that I'm a big party hound but I do like to ride during the day and party and have a few afterwards. What, if any, nightlife is there in the Maggie Valley area?

We'll be staying at the Best Western Mountainbrook Inn in August. Heard great things about it and their prices are very reasonable.

We've been staying at the Jonathan Creek for years and years. We love it. They're hospitable, try to please and always are willing to supply you with some worn out bathtowels and a hose to wash your bike. Go for it. Right across the street from the pancake house also. Sit by the creek, pop a top and chill out. You'll love it.
