I couldn't find any updates either searching the net although is some info about it if search all the threads .. Seems Dunlop should get their act together in making information available..
My dealer advised they have received no such information regarding a "D408F"?
I stood there while he went into the computer system and checked for updates?
So WTF?????
That doesn't surprise me at all. Our local dealership told my buddy they didn't know about updated fairing braces when he went in to get his replaced the second time they broke.
I think this isn't just a Harley thing though, I swear the worse the economy gets the lower the service level gets at most business' I go into. Anybody else see this trend in your area?
Not sure if this helps but I reviewed the 2009 Model Year Technical Changes document from Harley and did not find any mention of a, "New Tread Design" for the touring models.
The document does however describe this exact change for the Softail Rocker bikes. It even goes to the extent of showing a picture of the tread changes from 2008 to 2009. Interestingly enough the tread they show for 2009 looks like the blue bike (upside down Y) and the picture for the 2008 looks like the red bike (normal Y).
even every picture on the harley website of 360 views of bikes have the tread pattern like the direction of the red bike id say you got some defective tires and id go back where you got them and tell them they need replaced at there cost.

Problem with that is they will change it out to the 407s that have a known cupping issue. I don't want them on my bike either.
