Just went out and looked at my '09 UC and the front tire looks like the one on the red bike. Seems to this old tire man that the blue bike tire would cop because of running against the edges of the tread, but that's just my thought, what do I know.

Simple, Ever notice how the whirlpool in the tub drain goes a different direction south of the equator? The tire was made for sale in South America. Glad to be of help!

While I don't have anything substantial to provide specific to the tires, I will add that this has me befuddled too!

You might try calling Dunlop and tell them the situation and get their feel:

Dunlop Customer Assistance Center:
Please call 1-800-321-2136 M-F 8:30AM - 5:00PM EST for additional assistance.

Good luck, let us know!

The blue bike would be screwed in a bad rain storm. Those tires will channel the water to the center instead of out away from the bike.

FYI--I just went to the Dunlop site and requested info via email. If I get anything back I'll post it here.
It would be nice to have something in writing when you go to your dealer.
Hopefully they will answer today.

I gotta wonder if the liability costs of HD replacing thousands tires because of wear issues - outweighs the liability costs of riders hydroplaning and loosing control causing injury or death?
Something seems fishy?
Desperate times for manufacturers and consumers!
