Default 2 Questions regarding seats

I have taken the plunge and gone for the detach kit for my 08 Ultra, so now I am researching seats for my bike. I think I want a full seat as opposed to solo as I may need to take a pillion on short journeys at short notice

1. Did some research on this site about the Badlander, I think it looks great BUT seemed to get bad press in terms of comfort, except from some that are of more slight build. Well I am 6ft and weigh in at about 160lbs. Any similar riders out there to comment please

2. Are all touring model seats the same, in which case will this seat fit my bike?

1. If you want comfort, look at an HD sundowner, Mustang, Corbin or Laperra.

2. Any touring seat that is made for 08 and later tourers will fit

Take a look at the Road Glide seat, I switched out my stock Ultra seat for a Road Glide seat. It put me lower to the ground, looks good with the tour pack off and still has some good passenger seating when needed. I've put in some 400+ mile days using a rider backrest and have had no issues.

If the seat is comfortable, why not keep it and get a detachable back rest? That will dress up the rear when the tour pack is off and you keep the passenger seat for two-up around town.
